Inside This Edition: Shoreguy returns for a review of Jersey Shore On MTV

Review - Jersey Shore On MTV - What does the Jersey Shore MTV television show and the real Jersey Shore have in common?  Yes, there are self proclaimed "guidos" in New Jersey and yes they go to the shore.  They were portrayed last season by people that are mostly not from New Jersey but the reality is that there are people like that in New Jersey and from New Jersey.  The funny thing is not that the show celebrates the stupidly inane ignorance of "some" New Jersey young adults coming into their own but that some people are offended by this.

It is absolutely hysterical and a ratings boon no doubt to MTV when Italian defamation organizations gave the show even a second of attention and even more incredible that they could feel any connection to such moronic antics and perversion of the Italian culture on display at the Jersey Shore.  Why did MTV choose New Jersey to portray such characters?  That's an easy one to answer because New Jersey is a real life movie set full of conflict and interesting characters.

Anyone from New Jersey knows that anything can and usually does happen here and life in this action packed place is full of interesting drama and characters.  Life experience here good bad or whatever makes for good TV and when New Jersey takes center stage in big media in the form of a television show it's bound to spit out a few stars and the Jersey Shore has such as they are.

Just when you think you have seen it all in New Jersey something comes up and this time it's big media exploiting New Jersey with Jersey Shore and so what... it's not like it hasn't happened before.  I checked out the show and it was mostly a real snoozer.  Talking about New Jersey will get a show a look see but even guido mania gets boring after awhile.  Dysfunction is always interesting but not sustaining when there is only emptiness behind the fist pumping hookup seeking cast.

Jersey Shore introduced Snooki and the Situation to the world but the real situation now is that if the show moves to Miami they might as well change the name of the show because whatever happens in New Jersey stays in New Jersey including the high ratings which surely are in danger of being decimated when the morons hit south beach.  Being stupid in New Jersey regardless if it's a good thing or a bad thing is funny and totally expected here but being stupid in Miami is just being stupid and there might not be much gold in that kind of television but we shall see.  All the Jersey Shore haters need to lighten up need and see the show for what it is...  just a stupid television show.  - Shoreguy -
